If you’re in the San Fransisco area and love video games or are visiting for the GDC (Game Developers Conference), be sure to check out Giant Robot SF’s third annual GAME OVER/CONTINUE show this weekend.
This year I submitted an interactive piece based off of one of my all time favorite NES classics: IKARI WARRIORS. It’s a wall mounted 3D replica of the title screen. Viewers can twist the knob on the underside of the frame and make the Ikari warriors turn outward and make a little ticking noise (simulating machine gun fire). It’s made out of painted wood and plaster inside a shadow box type frame.
Looks like there’s lots of great stuff up for sale. Wish I could be there!
